E Banking Phishing Website Synopsis

 

Objective

The main aim of E-Banking Phishing Website Synopsis is to identify the websites of e-banking whether it is phishing type or not. This system proposes a technology to avoid fraudulence or illegal access of sensitive data of users in online transactions.

Project Overview

            Transaction through online services is one of the leading methods using in this world to make payment. Everyone in this society are now depends on online based services for transaction. Because people in today’s environment are like to do their each and every works in an easy manner. Additionally, now days all humans are expected to have a separate bank account for any type of payment. Having the bank account would paves an opportunity for one to get loan, or can save their money, or make investment for future uses etc.  On the other hand, now banks are introducing various schemes that relate to an account holder. Those schemes may bring out beneficial investment, gaining of money by means of online transactions, different types of loan with different interest. But in previous days, customers feel difficult to visit the bank directly in order to make any credit or debiting an amount. So banks had introduced a credit and debit system by means of online based work. Firstly automatic teller machine helps to do this debiting system. Now every bank has brings out their own application namely e-banking application in the sense of creating better user interaction with bank. These types of banking application may be banks own thing or it may be developed privately to have transaction with any bank, it depends on user. To do online payments in these such application which means websites may be phishing. Phishing websites are the one who do various malicious activities by means of getting sensitive information of user. That information may be password, username, debit or credit card details that related to a particular bank account. This E-banking Phishing website synopsis system will predict those types of websites and helps to do a safe and secure payment through online.

Proposed System

            Data mining mechanism namely classification has been used in this proposing system to identify the phishing based websites. Phishing based websites are the one among the web application that would get the users sensitive data in the idea of doing illegal activities. These illegal activities may be money robbing in accounts of user, or illegal practice by means of using the other users account etc. Because many of the account holders in a particular bank might use their accounts in order to purchase some products through system named e-banking. On this purchasing, websites are required to ask the customers to fill the necessary details such as credit card details, debit card information, password and username etc. This information has been used by many phishing type websites for malicious functions. Thus in order to find out these types of e-banking websites, a system has been developed by using classification techniques under data mining. This system acts as flexible, intelligent and an effective one. The identification of this website involves different characteristics such as URL, Identity and security of domain and finally the criteria used for encryption. Finally it provides better security system in case on online payments and it would be highly useful for many e-commerce websites.
