Human Resource Management System
Project Objective
The aim of this Human Resource Management System project is to build a system that will help a company manage its human resources. A large company will find it extremely hard to keep track of all its employees and to supervise their requirement as well. This system will automate a lot of these processes and the presence of digitized records will make access easier.
The Human Resource Management System will have a project module. All records of employees will be maintained on the system along with their skills and abilities. When a new project is assigned to a team the project module create a new file. The details of the team members and estimated project completion time will be noted. The project supervisor will be required to update evaluations of team members on the system. These evaluations will be used by the system to make recommendations for promotions and raises. The final decision on promotions and raises will be made by an upper level manager.
A recruitment module can be used during the hiring process. This module will have access to information about future projects and progress on currents projects, based on this information it will predict requirement of talent. It will also be able to present a breakdown of skills required and employee personalities that are successful in the company environment. All this information will help recruiters select ideal candidates for open positions.
An employee module will be available to all employees to view their payroll and sanctioned leaves. All employees can easily verify the information and raise queries with the Human Resource Management System at any time using this system. The department can also make available training material that can be used by the employees for self – improvement and their progress on the same can be tracked.
Higher level management will be able to access employee records and job statistics using this system. Employee files can be updated and all information about the different projects can be accessed in an instant. This system will make it very easy for management to handle large numbers of employees at once.
Existing System
The existing Human Resource Management System depends on the maintenance of multiple employee files and large job records. Large human resources departments are maintained to go through all the information and make recruitment and payroll information. Every month a lot of time is spent confirming leave information and preparing payrolls. The whole system is inefficient and archaic in this modern era.
Proposed System
The proposed Human Resource Management System makes use of the best of modern computing technology. It will help in maintaining a compact human resources department which is ideal because this department does not directly provide monetary gain to the company. The system will help automate a lot of the processes and make management of talent much easier. It will also be smart enough to understand current bottlenecks and predict future personnel requirements.
Human Resource Management System Modules
Admin: The admin module can be accessed by upper level management. They can create new user IDs and access human resources reports. Any changes in the database and creation of new projects will be done by this module.
Project: The project module can be accessed by the project supervisors. They will be able to evaluate team members and provide information about project progress. The completion time and team profile of each project will be assessed by the system to make future predictions.
Recruitment: The recruitment module will provide information such as talent requirement, skills required and ideal employee personality. This information will be useful when making recruitment decisions. It will automatically notify the HR department when it detects a sharp requirement of talent.
Employee: The employee module can be accessed by each employee to view their payroll and sanctioned or unsanctioned leaves. This makes the process more transparent and avoids entry errors. Employees can raise complaints using this module as well.
