Food Donation Project System | Free

February 20, 2020 by ProjectsGeek Leave a Comment

Food Donation Project System is a mission to end hunger and no wasting of food to make a hungry-free world.According to the latest survey, 1.3 billion tons of food is thrown as waste every year.  Additionally, one-third of the food consumed is stated as leftovers.  The focus of this project is to reduce the amount of food wasted and being used to the needy people.

Food Donation Project System

Therefore, an android-based application is developed by which a person can donate food with their capacity and at the same time the application lets the organization to put their request on their requirements.  The basic prerequisite to use this Food Donation Project System application is a smartphone.

Existing system

Presently people who wish to donate items need to personally visit the organizations and donate foods or other items. Otherwise, they have to search for some websites to donate surplus food.In general, the large manufacturers, wholesalers, and organized community provide food items to food banks or waste tons of foods daily. They have to search for some organization that needs food. This process involves a lot of time to contact the organization to check the requirement. If they do not need the food, then the person has to contact another organization. This makes the donor tired and exhausted.

Proposed Food Donation Project System

The application for food donation acts as an interface between the users who are looking for a channel to give the excess food without wasting it.It enables us to donate the excess food by notifying nearby users with the details of the food that is available. The required users claim the notification. The system allocates the food items based on the priority.

The Food Donation Project System application is designed in such a way that the users have two options to select.

  • If the user looking to donate food, login using username and password then add the below information in the application:
    • Name of the food item and the excess quantity.
    • Location of the user using GPS.
    • Contact address details to claim excess food.

The donor’s information is posted on the application and any number of users can claim the food.

  • If the user is claiming for the food, then he needs to enter the contact details of the organization that he belongs to with the address.

The system is designed in the way that one or more users can claim the food. If there is more than one user to claim the food, then the application does the job scheduling and the request is accepted to the user on a priority basis. The food quantity that is saved and the number of people who have fed are portrayed in graphs and reports. The success rate is calculated based on the impact of reducing the hunger rate.

Food Donation Project System Modules

  • Sign-up and login: The user has to sign in with the name, email ID, contact number, and address.
  • Donating the surplus food: The user has to choose the activity if donating or claiming the surplus food. It is required to fill the contact address where the food is available.
  • Claiming the surplus food: If the user claims for the surplus food, need to specify the organization name with address and contact details.
  • Priority-based sorting: If one or more user has claimed for food, the request is scheduled on priority bases.
  • Data Analysis with Graphs: The data gets recorded after every donation and the graph is prepared for visualization impact. This graph is prepared with the focus of increasing donating in the minds of people.
  • Data Analysis with Reports: Once the data gets recorded, the system generates reports with the total number of people fed and the total quantity of food donated.

Conclusion

The surplus food from the functions and gatherings can be donated easily. The visualization impact of the donation can create a positive impact on the users.  Minimizing food wastage and feeding the hunger is the main goal of the food donation project. The application is targeted in two ways, the user who is donating the food and the person/organization that is claiming the food.

Online Blood Bank System Project

December 30, 2018 by ProjectsGeek Leave a Comment

Objective

The main aim of this project is to establish an online blood bank management system which helps in managing blood bank operations efficiently.

Online Blood Bank System

Blood is considered as a living force of our body. Blood is require in urgent basis like accident or for anticipated transfusion during planned surgeries. Blood transfusion has been responsible for saving life. Ideally there should be enough blood units in a blood bank for everyday requirement for optimum functioning of the health care system. In present system people have to go to the blood bank to find their required blood unit which is unhandy. In most of the time we can see the shortage of blood units in the blood bank and patient has to take help from the relatives, friends and family members. It is very difficult to get blood donor in the time of emergency and urgency.

By considering these problems of blood bank and patients we have developed this online project which is going to be very much helpful and friendly for the patients in finding required blood unit.Some people are lucky enough to have vital amount of blood in their body, where some are not. This project gives the opportunity to donors to gift a life by donating blood to the needy.
This crucial and supportive project is developed using Dot Net and SQL

Existing System

Existing system of blood bank is very much impeded and disrupt. There is a constant need to replenish stocks in blood bank. Blood bank faces lack of donors resulting in shortage of blood units. Hence customers have to go around in search of blood unit.

Proposed System

This proposed system is very much attainable and usable. This online system is provided with the awareness regarding blood donation which will increase the number of voluntary blood donors. It consists of central repository which gives the information regarding various blood donation camps available along with the details associated. Voluntary donors can register in the system to post their donation and customer in need of blood can register online and find suitable donor, hence making the whole process friendly and handy.

Module

  1. User: There are two type of user in this project donor and customer. Donor can register to the web site by giving his personal details like name, blood group, address, contact details etc. Once registration is done he can post his donation. Customer can register to the portal and view list of donors who are interested to donate blood. He can also search list of donors based on the blood group. Once he gets suitable donor he can directly contact the donor.
  2. Admin: Admin is responsible to post all the information related to blood donation. Google Driverless Car Project

Objective

Google driver less car is a self-driving car which has autopilot system technique to drive from one point to another. The objective of developing such type of car was to prevent accidents and reduce carbon emissions. Therefore there was the need for a technology which can drive a car themselves. There are latest technologies used in this type of cars like video cameras, sensors, and lasers. Besides this, there is a trained software operator which is on the passenger seat to control the software.

Purpose

There was the need for an efficient and safer transportation due to which there was the need of the autonomous system to be developed.

Google Driverless Car

Advantages

  • This automatic system could improve traffic flow thus preventing traffic jams.
  • It will help to reduce the accidents caused by drivers of cars.
  • It saves time
  • The car will itself park at parking area thereby reducing efforts.

Components of car

LIDAR

This is the technology used in such types of cars called LIDAR. This google driverless car has GPS system with LIDAR sensors sent from and information sent from radar sensors on the front of the car. There is also an additional sensor for the rear wheel. LIDAR denotes Light Detection and Ranging. This technology can measure distances. Its main advantage is that it can detect smaller objects. The LIDAR sensor is mounted on the bumper which measures a distance between the cars and if a distance is close then it adjusts its speed accordingly. This automated car is still in the experimental stage. The combination of this technology in a car makes it a fully autonomous system. There are many benefits of it.

RADAR

It is the detection device which is used to determine altitude, range or speed of objects. In this type of car MA-COM SRS Radar resistant used for weather conditions. It also helps in providing parking assistance which is provided by rear-mounted sensors.

GPS

A global positioning system is used to provide location information in all weather conditions anywhere or near the Earth. So GPS is used in these cars.

Position sensor

It controls position measurement. There is a rotational encoder that converts the angular motion of the shaft to analog or digital code. The output of encoders determines the position of the shaft. These types of rotatory encoders are used in many applications.

Google Driverless Car Project

Camera

It is the most important component used in such type of cars. This google car has three types of car-mounted cameras.

Google map

This car has no steering, brake or accelerator, it just has buttons to start, stop and pullover. The google maps are used to navigate properly. The google map provides a car with information about the route and interacts with GPS like a database.

Working on the Google car

In this car the going destination is set by the driver and the software is used to calculate the route. LIDAR monitors and senses around the surroundings of a car and create a map of that area. Then movement is monitored by the ultrasonic sensor which detects position relative to the map. Then distance sensors calculate distances to obstacles. There are video cameras and street view. The artificial intelligence and human perception control actions such as accelerator, steering, and brakes.

This car if comes on the market will be very useful for the humans. It can help to void accidents. It can itself drive at night time. This driver less technology improves the stability of vehicles that help to reduce the loss of control. So this google driver less car would be very beneficial in the future.

Convert JavaScript Array to JSON

JSON

JavaScript object notation is very flexible and easy to read format for data interchange. It is very light weight and easy to parse for machines. You can use JSON with java script and other programming languages for data exchange from one end to another one. It is widely used in rest services.

In JavaScript we can use  JSON.stringify to convert an java script array into a JSON formatted string. Below is the code for converting JavaScript Array to JSON and displaying it in alert box.

Source Code

Type 1 – JSON serializes Array

var temp= Array()
temp[0] = "apple";
temp[1] = "boy";
temp[2] = "cat";
temp[3] = "gun";

alert( JSON.stringify(temp) );
console.log( JSON.stringify(temp) );

Output

["apple","boy","cat","gun"]

JavaScript Array to JSON

Type 2 – JSON serializes Object

Here we are creating a array in java script and filling it with random string values. Then we are using JSON.stringify function which is in build function to convert it to JSON format.

var temp= {}
temp[0] = "apple";
temp[1] = "boy";
temp[2] = "cat";
temp[3] = "gun";

alert( JSON.stringify(temp) );
console.log( JSON.stringify(temp) );

Output

{"0":"apple","1":"boy","2":"cat","3":"gun"}

Convert JavaScript Array to JSON

Usage of this Function

We can use this functionality for converting java script array data to JSON format for using in AJAX web service calls right from your browser.

var temp= Array()
temp[0] = "apple";
temp[1] = "boy";
temp[2] = "cat";
temp[3] = "gun";

var xmlhttp = new XMLHttpRequest();
xmlhttp.open("POST", "/json-handler");
xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("Content-Type", "application/json");
xmlhttp.send(JSON.stringify(temp));

Beginners | What is SOAP Web Service ?

January 15, 2017 by ProjectsGeek Leave a Comment

What is SOAP Web Service ?

SOAP stands for Simple Object Access Protocol which used XML format to communicate between two systems. This service can interact or talk with remote system using XML messages. SOAP is a W3C recommendation for building web services. This is platform independent as well as language independent.

Example : Server is running SOAP service using .Net technology and our client is java client. So in this case our client and server will talk using XML message and independent of technologies they are using. Client application is just concerned about SOAP messages which it can understand. Our client is fine till the point server is returning SOAP messages.

SOAP Web Service

Sample Request

<?xml version="1.0"?>

<soap:Envelope
xmlns:soap="https://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope/"
soap:encodingStyle="https://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-encoding">

<soap:Body>
<m:GetName xmlns:m="https://www.websphereportal.org/name">
<m:Item>123456</m:Item>
</m:GetName>
</soap:Body>

</soap:Envelope>

As you can see we are sending some data to server like item number based on which it will return price of this item. This is input which we have to provide to get output from soap web service.

Sample Response

<?xml version="1.0"?>

<soap:Envelope
xmlns:soap="https://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope/"
soap:encodingStyle="https://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-encoding">

<soap:Body>
<m:GetNameResponse xmlns:m="https://www.websphereportal.org/name">
<m:Price>100</m:Price>
</m:GetNameResponse>
</soap:Body>

</soap:Envelope>

As you can see we are receiving response from server  inside price tag which is price for the item. Now we can use this result in our application to process information.

SOAP web Services are very common in today’s website architectures or I will say most important part which makes system more flexible and non cohesive. You can call this web service from your java code or .Net code and you can retrieve data from remote system. Then you can process this message to retrieve data and show it on your website or portal. This is advanced concept for college level students but easy to understand and implement as well. We will discuss about other types of web services and web servers in our coming posts.
