Account Payable System Project

The aim of the account payable system is to integrate all the account details into one and track the information of the unpaid money of vendor and distributor. This project will help the user to get maximum use of money of other person and minimum effort to maintain the official account payable function. This project will also have the option of split circulation of invoice whenever require. It will also provide complete audit trial. This project will manage entire cash flow and will update the information of due amount each day.

Account Payable System

Existing system

A user has to maintain the information about owed money in the book. The person has to check the details of each manually, and the manual checking process is not secure. The current system has limited options and does not provide notification of unpaid vendor or distributor. The user has to check the deliveries of invoice manually. A person has to spend the time to track the activity dates, check the wide range of accounts of vendors. The number of checking account that current system can accommodate is limited.

Proposed system

The Account Payable system will generate the reports of payable account and will provide complete information of payable vendor account. This project will have the feature of inter company accounting which will bring the balance in general ledger of different branches of the same company. The user can do an online query of any vendor such that a user can view the exact details of a provider by providing necessary information of vendor. This application will also allow multi-company processing. The project is capable of accommodating unlimited checking account. This software can process multiple types of currency. The account payable system will maintain the cash flow and provide complete details of suppliers, invoices, payments, outstanding debts, received goods and other information.

Account Payable System Modules

Multiple checking accounts: The will allow a user to maintain the different account for different expenditure even though the user do not have multiple bank account.
Payment discount: This module will calculate the discount for the person who paid before the due date.
Retain age calculation and track: This module will help to calculate the retain age and will keep track of related information.
Aging categories: The aging categories module will provide a report of the due amount in each seven days or a month based on the aging categories.
Void a check: this module will correct the error by reversing the accounting details and reprint the check as desired.
Electronic funds transfer: This will provide an option to pay the vendors through the Internet.

  • Processor: Pentium 4 with minimum 1.6 GHz

  • Operating system: Windows XP with SP2 or above.

Enterprise fleet management system Project

The transportation is a very profitable business but sometimes it can be risky as well. The enterprise needs someone who can transport their goods to another place with safety and on time.  If the goods won’t reach at the time then the business can be lost as the enterprise will not give the transport management to him again. A good Enterprise fleet management system between the customer, transport person and enterprise will provide the smooth transportation of any items. So our enterprise fleet management system will make the overall work flawless and will provide higher profit to the system. This Enterprise fleet management system will manage the automobile from the starting to end of the transportation. So it will increase the profit by decreasing the time required and the cost needed by the system. The fleet management system will combine transportation, execution, and planning. This will enhance the efficiency of the overall system by empowers more extensive supply. In the present time, the system is available works with the manual process that is on the paper. The transportation information is noted down on the paper each time which is a very tedious process as to maintain these many registers each day. As the enterprise will extend it becomes harder to maintain. So there is a need of a computer based system which can maintain all these things with ease.

Proposed System

The Enterprise fleet management system will reduce the overall complexity in it and will provide a great solution. The software will monitor on the problem with the system and will provide coordination among all the tasks. It will provide automatic bill generation, storing the system information and providing the solution in case of emergency. While the system will not only monitor the vehicles on the system but can be used for some other purpose such as maintain the salary information of staff, quantity of goods transported, and the cost expense of transportation. The Enterprise fleet management system will need two basic module in order to run fluently one is administrative and other is a user, in the administrative module, the transport manager will have an access. The transport agent can track the automobile and can maintain the various other work such as the number of staff is working, Which vehicle will be sent next and the timetable of each work. While the user module can view the status of the goods. They can contact the client directly through the system and when there is some problem the transportation can be canceled from the system itself.

System Requirements

While to devolve this type of system the software requirements are windows system, James server, log files and hardware requirements are intel 2.0GHz, RAM 512 MB, Hard disk 20 GB, VGA.

Product Maintenance System Project

The objective of the Product Maintenance System project is to completely automate the product maintenance with latest technologies. This project will enable the admin to add, modify, find and delete products, users and suppliers. This Product Maintenance System will remove all the inconsistencies and redundancies involved in the existing system by making it more efficient, quicker and less time consuming. Another objective of the project was to make the existing system more secure and user-friendly.

Existing System

The existing Product Maintenance System is completely manual driven. The data retrieval or any kind if information gathering is very time consuming and requires a dedicated effort to achieve that. Moreover there is risk of data mismanagement and loss of data integrity in the existing system. As, every functionality uses man power, it is a total waste of energy, time and money. Secondly, the data stored is not at all secure and can get damaged in any natural disaster. So, there is an urgent need for automation or computerization.

Proposed system

In the proposed Product Maintenance System, all aspects will be computerized and data will be stored in a centralized database server. So there will be no loss of any data and report generation/ data retrieval will become a single click process. The Product Maintenance System project designed is very user friendly and flexible with zero redundancies and inconsistencies involved, making the overall project very secure. The project can easily be operated and handled by a non technical person as well.

Product Maintenance System Modules

The Product Maintenance System has two modules:

Admin module: Admin is the main authority of this project. Admin has to give his login credentials (username and password) to enter the admin area. He can add, modify, search and delete users, products and suppliers. Other information like country, state, city and status are all added by admin. He has the authority to view product’s reports as well as supplier’s reports. Also he is authorized to view user inquiries.

User module: Just like admin, a user needs to enter its login credentials (username and password) to enter the user area. The user has been given privilege to update his profile and can also change the existing password. A user also shares permission to add a product category, product class, product, search a supplier, add a supplier etc. user can send inquiries about anything to the admin. User can view the product report as well as suppliers report also.

Difference Between Array List And Vector

Welcome to our interview preparation section on Projectsgeek where we will try to provide updated and deep knowledge on java language interview questions. So today we will talk about major difference between Array List And Vector in core java collection framework.

 
 

Difference Between Array List And Vector

 

 

Vector Array List
This is legacy object which is present from the beginning version of java. This is introduced in Java version 1.2 with other collection classes.
This is synchronized class which means its is thread safe.

Explanation: Vector is thread safe and will be accessed by only one thread at a time. So this is good choice for multi threading applications.

This is not synchronized and not thread safe.

Explanation: Array List is not thread safe that means it can be access my multiple threads at same time unlike vector.

This is slower than array List because of synchronized class.

Explanation: As this is thread safe each thread needs to wait for the availability to process the data using this data structure. So this will increase the wait time and slow the application.

This is faster than the vector as this is not thread safe. This will allow multi threading access to applications.
Capacity Increment: Vector doubles the size of array each time it reaches the maximum size. Capacity Increment: Array list increment the array size by 50% each time it reaches the maximum size limit. Internally it creates new array with incremented size and copy all the data from old array. Now this old array will be recycled as per JVM Policy.
We can use enumerator as well as iterator with vector. We can use only iterator with ArrayList.

 

Applications

Vector

  • We can use Vector when you are working in multi threaded environment as its thread safe.
  • Applications which don’t have performance concerns they can use vector. It is slow.

ArrayList

  • If your Application needs to be faster and you don’t want performance issues you can go for Array List. It is faster collection.
  • If you do not have thread safe concerns you can use ArrayList.

Exam Scheduler System Project using C#

The purpose of the exam scheduler system is to improve the student experience and reduce the burden on the faculty of the school or the exam administration. This system will be able to arrange the big exam with large numbers of student quickly. It will make the time table of exam such the student will get the enough time for each subject. While the Exam Scheduler System will ensure the security of the question paper. The Exam Scheduler System will also help the students by making a timetable for preparation of each subject. The project will be used to conduct multiple exams at the same time.

Existing system

Today, to conduct an exam various faculty related to each subject will make the timetable whereas for the examination like IIT, SSC the administration makes a group who will decide the timetable, and then they make arrangement for the exam. In this type of process, it consumes large time and is not focused on the student’s problem. If the exam had to postpone then it is a huge problem as they need to re-arrange all the things. While a student has to make a timetable for the exam itself and if the daily routine is not good the student will not able use their full potential.

Proposed system

The Exam Scheduler System will be automated and will help the institution to arrange the exam in the most efficient and optimized way. The system will make the timetable such that it will focus on the student’s problem of back to back exam, exam overloading so the students will not face any of these problems and can make use of their full potential. The Exam Scheduler System will assign the invigilators based on the knowledge they have. The software will support multiple exams at a time while the reports can be taken out of the system in various standard files.

Exam Scheduler System Module

Admin: The admin will have the authority to make changes to the document made by the scheduler. While the admin will provide access to students, who will give the exam.
User:This module will be used by the students to know the timetable of the exam. While during the exam the students will access the exam scheduler to give the exam.
Scheduler:This module will make the timetable for each exam and will assign the things required in the exam by the students.
Login:through this module student and admin will get the access to the system while according to the ID and the password they will be differentiated.

SMS Based Remote Server Monitoring System

The organization who is hosting the data server for a large number of clients faces the problem with the monitor of the up and down of the server using Remote Server Monitoring System. The problem is more on the night as at that time the number of network engineer is less. When downtime of the server happen the organization should identify and remove the problem but in general, the client reports about the issue with the server when they try to access to the system and due to this the organization can cause the loss of the customer.

Existing system

In the present Remote Server Monitoring System when the server failure happens then the network engineer makes the system working. But at the night time when there is less engineer available organization faces the problem, whereas the problem on the server is identified by the client and not by the organization. Even when the organization knows about the server problem, they have difficulty in removing them as the engineer at first needs to find out about the bad server. Whereas the problem can be temporarily, but it can occur multiple time because of this the engineer will face difficulty in the finding of the fault in the server.

Proposed system

The proposed Remote Server Monitoring System will help the engineers about the server which is not working by providing them the details of the fault server. This Remote Server Monitoring System will monitor each server of the organization by sending a message to the servers. Then the server will respond to that message within the specified time, but if the server does not respond, then the system will send a notification to the admin. The notification will contain the information about the servers such that the time of failure, which server was/is not working.

Remote Server Monitoring System Module

The Remote Server Monitoring System contains various models to work. These modules are:
Admin login:This module will be used by the admin to get access to the system. The admin will need to provide ID and password in the system.
Admin organisation:Through this module, the company can assign and arrange the admin.
User:By using this module admin can arrange the user and the admin can add any user to the system.
Server:Through this module, the admin will get the details about each server present on the server.
Notification:From this module, the user will get notified about the failure of a server. The notification will be in the form of a message, and it will contain the details about the failed server.
