The School Management System in Java is an application developed for schools. It is an application developed in Java which is used to store all the school-related records. It stores information related to students, staff, and teachers. The database used is MS-Access. The objective of developing such a system was to reduce the errors that creep in the manual system where it was very difficult to store the records. It also provides the facility to calculate the attendance of the student. There are four types of login for this system the administrator, student, teacher and staff login. Existing system

In the earlier system, it was difficult to store all the student, teacher and staff records which required a lot of paperwork and time consumption. It also leads to errors and mistakes. Everything like attendance has to be marked manually. These systems also caused redundancy of data. If any records need to be updated then it has to be changed in every file so making it difficult to manage all the data. There was no security as anyone can view those records. So there was the need for developing an automated system which could handle all these problems making the system easier to use.

Proposed system

Now the proposed system is developed to solve all the problems that occurred in the earlier systems. It provides a user-friendly interface where there is an administrator which only has the privilege to access the data. This makes system secure and reliable. This system allows to keep track of the student’s attendance and maintain all the staff information. So everything becomes easy thus reducing the risks that come with an existing system.   • Registration module: In this module, the users of the system have to register themselves with all their personal details and after that, they can log in to the system
  • Login module: This module page allows different types of login details for student, admin, teacher, and staff.

This is a simple text editor application developed in java or Notepad Application in Java Project with Source Code. It is created in java for front-end interface. This application completely provides a user-friendly interface. Its main objective is to easily provide any support where users can write their notes and save it for further use. File open-This feature allows users to open files saved at the desired location or open a new blank file.

File save-This allows users to save a file with the desired name at any particular location.

Cut copy paste-This is another useful feature provided by this application which allows users to cut, copy and paste any desired edited text.

Undo-This allows users to undo any edited text.

Find text-This feature allows user s to go to any particular text or word in the file immediately. This is a search feature of the editor. Using Find next user can search any word repeated in a document.

Earlier there was a manual work as all things have to be written down on a piece of paper which leads to errors and mistakes. It was difficult to edit the document or copy paste anything which caused a huge amount of time consumption. So there was a need for the system which could rectify these mistakes and provide a simple computerized interface that would solve all the problems.

This simple application allows users to write anything and save it for future use. It can be saved using Save As feature which saves the files at desired location. This is notepad program in java using swing and uses simple core java concepts to come up with basic notepad functionality. This reduced the dependence on manual work which leads to mistakes. The proposed system also saves time money and the need for paper. It also provides other features like font and word wrap. Through font one can change the font style of the edited text. This project is a type of web portal aimed at maintaining a strong digital relationship between the customer and the supplier. It reduces the time and effort in buying and selling products. With everything completely automated, there is no scope of error or miscommunication. With high level of data management, each and every detail can be recorded and very well extracted. With a single mouse click a customer can have all the details listed and the supplier can very well keep a track of his inventory. This further will strengthen the business relationship between the supplier and the customer.

Existing System

In the existing system, data management is very poor, time consuming and not at all optimized. Buying and selling through the current system is very lengthy and in-efficient. More and more man power is required for carrying out the activities. Sometimes, there may be inconsistencies and redundancies which leaves the customer dissatisfied and on the other hand affects the morale of seller.

Proposed system

The proposed software will make the data management more efficient and optimized. Even a non-technical person can operate it very easily. Information is stored in a secure database which makes speedy data retrieval. The focus lays on establishing a proper transaction process between customer and seller. A customer can go through all the products and other related information with just a single mouse click. Ease of navigation and speedy transactions are the key aspects of this system. This software has an added language functionality through which a language selection can be made to describe products and items.

Modules

The system has the following modules;

Admin: The admin has the full authority over the software. He is in complete command to add, delete or modify any entry from the portal. He can get list of all the suppliers enrolled in the system as well as the transactions done by them. Admin can track the orders along with their complete details. Admin has the full authority over the inventory. Any product addition, deletion and modification can be done by the admin.

Users: Here customer is referred to as users. The user can be enrolled by the admin. He can browse through the product categories added by the admin and can place order from there.

Order status module: On placing the order, a unique order id will be created. The users can view back the items they have purchased by providing the order number.

The main objective of this system is to have a wider reach and visibility of the university across the globe. The main focus lays on zero paperwork and centralizing the data. This will definitely boost speedy and on time process completion and reducing the manual effort for maintaining the heavy files. The data stored will more accurate, can be retrieved very easily making the overall system highly responsive, efficient and flawless with no limit to physical boundaries.

Existing System

Existing system is a total mess. It involves a lot of man power and also the process is very slow and generally suffers delays. No data securities as all records are maintained on papers which are prone to natural and physical damage. Only the local and the nearby students apply due to poor visibility of the University. Retrieving any past records is a very tedious and time consuming process and sometimes it may take 2-3 days.

Proposed system

This software is powered by World Wide Web, which means students from any nick and corner across the globe can apply for the different courses offered. This system will completely automate the data management. As the data will be stored in databases in the computer, this will make speedy generation of reports or any query regarding past records. They are nearly zero prone to any kind of damage as regular baking up of data is done. New admissions and enrollments can be done with just a single mouse click. This will make the admission process more efficient, effective, optimized and transparent.

Modules

There are essentially four modules of this software;

Admin module: Admin has complete authority over the system. It is the responsibility of the admin to maintain and monitor the student records. Any new entry will be done by admin only. The admin is again responsible for deletion, update and modification of any record. Admin will be preparing all reports (student, college and daily report) and submitting to higher authorities.

Student/User module: The students are offered a very restricted access. They can view the courses offered, availability of seats and the complete fee structure.

User Interface: The graphical user interface is very user friendly as it is totally menu driven. Even a non-technical person can navigate pretty easily. Menus items have been provided with the keyboard shortcuts for the ease in using forms.

Report generation: All the reports can be exported to excel sheet or PDF as well can be printed corresponding to a date picked from calendar. Report generation process is indeed very quick and easy. It can be done with just a single mouse click.
